What is Beeswax?
Beeswax is a natural wax made by honeybees. They secrete it through glands located on the underside of their abdomens. The wax appears as small translucent flakes. Worker bees gather and shape these flakes to create the honeycomb structure in the hive. When harvested, raw beeswax is collected from honeycombs. It undergoes solvent extraction or melting to remove honey, pollen, and impurities. The wax is then refined through melting, filtering, bleaching, and deodorizing processes to create a pure, consistent, and firm wax that has excellent plasticity and a pleasant natural aroma.
