Beeswax is a natural wax made by honeybees. They secrete it from special wax glands after consuming nectar or honey. To produce this wax, bees metabolize sugars from honey, which stimulates their wax glands to excrete tiny, clear flakes. The bees mold and layer these flakes into honeycombs, which harden and gain color from contact with pollen and propolis. For industrial use, beekeepers supply raw beeswax, which is then melted at controlled temperatures and filtered to eliminate impurities. Additional refining processes, including water washing, filtering through activated charcoal, and molding, create a pure wax that is valued for its smooth texture, consistent melting point, and unique aroma. This makes it ideal for high-quality products in various sectors.
